Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development

Who can apply

Academic Medical Centers (and any of their subdivisions) and nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply. Importantly, only applicants that recruit one or more partners to work with on planning the CTRN will be considered. Collaboration is a critical scoring component of the application; therefore, applicants are highly encouraged to recruit multiple partners. Eligible partners are outlined in the grant guidelines.

About this opportunity

The Clinical Trial & Research Network Kick-Start Grant (CTRN), launched by the Department of Community and Economic Development in partnership with the Office of Transformation & Opportunity aims to create a coordinated clinical research infrastructure that will reduce the cost, time, and complexity of conducting clinical trials in the Commonwealth. Critically, the CTRN is meant to facilitate a robust partnership across healthcare and life sciences stakeholders that benefits patients, healthcare institutions, and businesses alike.
