These terms govern your use of Funding Landscape. By using our service, you agree to these terms.
1Eligibility and Accounts
- •You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding agreement to use the Services.
- •You are responsible for the accuracy of account information and for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
- •You may not create an account using a false identity, on behalf of someone other than yourself, or if your access has previously been suspended.
2Permitted Use
We're here to help you discover and pursue funding opportunities. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal research and your organization's internal funding exploration.
This means you can search, save, track, and share opportunities with your team as you work toward your goals. This license does not include, and you agree not to:
- •Reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works based on the Services except as expressly permitted.
- •Systematically scrape, harvest, crawl, or download data from the Services, whether manually or through automated means, regardless of the rate or method used.
- •Use any data obtained from the Services to build, train, or improve a competing product or service, or to create a database or dataset for resale or redistribution.
- •Redistribute, sublicense, sell, or make available to third parties any data, listings, or content obtained from the Services, except for incidental sharing in the normal course of your personal or internal business use.
- •Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or proprietary data models.
- •Circumvent access controls, quota limits, or security mechanisms.
- •Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or to compete directly with Funding Landscape.
Proprietary Database
While individual opportunity listings may be publicly available from their original sources, our aggregated database—including our selection, organization, enrichments, summaries, categorizations, and presentation—represents significant investment and constitutes our proprietary work product protected under applicable law and these Terms.
We reserve the right to monitor usage, throttle API calls, or suspend accounts to protect platform stability.
3Opportunity Listings and Content
Funding Landscape aggregates opportunities from public and partner sources. While we aim to maintain accurate listings:
- •We do not guarantee that opportunities are current, complete, or suitable for any purpose. Always confirm details with the issuing organization.
- •Program summaries and ranking signals are informational only and do not constitute legal or financial advice.
- •By submitting feedback, corrections, or uploads, you grant Funding Landscape a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content to operate and improve the Services.
License to Your Data
By using the Services, you grant Funding Landscape a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, analyze, and learn from all data you provide or generate through your use—including searches, saved opportunities, profile information, usage patterns, and feedback—to operate, improve, develop, and train our Services and algorithms.
This license continues even if you delete your account, but only for anonymized or aggregated data that does not identify you personally.
You may export your personal data or request its deletion at any time, subject to our Privacy Policy.
4Alerts and Communications
- •By enabling alerts or digests, you authorize us to send service-related emails. Each message includes an unsubscribe link.
- •We may send important service or security notices even if you opt out of marketing communications.
- •You are responsible for keeping your contact information accurate to receive critical updates.
5Fees
Some features may be offered on a paid or usage-based basis. Fees, billing cycles, and payment terms will be presented at purchase time. Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable. We may change prices with reasonable notice.
6Data Protection and Security
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your account. Because we use third-party authentication (such as Google sign-in), we do not store your password directly.
While we work to keep your data safe, no online service can guarantee complete security. In the event of a security incident, we will notify affected users as required by law.
7Third-Party Services
The Services may integrate or link to third-party sites, datasets, or APIs. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. Funding Landscape is not responsible for third-party content or availability.
8Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Funding Landscape does not guarantee that funding will be awarded, that deadlines are accurate, or that the Services will meet your requirements. You are solely responsible for compliance with application rules.
9Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Funding Landscape AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
You agree that your use of the Services is at your sole risk. We are not responsible for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including issues with data accuracy, missed opportunities, service interruptions, or security incidents.
This limitation applies to all claims, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
10Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Funding Landscape and our officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of another.
11Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, misuse the Services, or create risk for us or other users. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, sections that should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, governing law) will continue in effect.
12Force Majeure
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, labor disputes, government actions, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, cyberattacks, or third-party service provider failures.
13Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Arbitration Agreement
You and Funding Landscape agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, rather than in court.
Class Action Waiver
YOU AGREE THAT ANY CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN YOUR INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any class or representative proceeding.
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or prevent irreparable harm.
14Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide advance notice via email or through the Services. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
