Who can apply
All units of local government including counties, townships, towns, boroughs, cities, and authorities. A nonprofit organization as described in section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and which is exempt from taxation under Subtitle A of the Code, has an accounting system and a voluntary board, practices nondiscrimination in the provision of assistance, and is registered with the Bureau of Charitable Organizations. A nonprofit must also: Have a dedicated interest in addressing the housing needs of the community experiencing a housing crisis; Have operated in the Commonwealth for a minimum of 2 years; and Have communicated/coordinated its intent to meet the need created by the housing crisis with the local municipality experiencing the crisis, including a letter of support from the impacted unit of government
