Hire LA's Youth connects Los Angeles employers with young adults aged 14-24 seeking first-time or summer job opportunities. The program prepares youth through workforce training and requires participants to complete at least 100 hours of work experience. Employers can participate through: (1) Direct Hiring - recruit and employ youth directly, (2) Subsidized Internships - offer supervised work experiences with program support, (3) Sponsorship - contribute $2,500 pledge to support a participant. Before placement, participants earn a Work Readiness Certificate endorsed by the LA Area Chamber of Commerce and receive financial literacy training.
