About this opportunity
The Multi-Mission Dry Dock (M2D2) constructs a reinforced concrete pressure relieved multi-mission dry dock with caisson to support the USS FORD (CVN-78) class and USS NIMITZ (CVN-68) class nuclear aircraft carriers, as well as all fleet nuclear submarine classes. Construction utilizes upland groundwater cutoff walls and cofferdam systems and includes bulkheads, quay walls, stairs, enclosed utility galleries, electrical and mechanical utility tunnels, drainage tunnels, discharge tunnels and saltwater system intake(s), closed loop cooling system, flooding and dewatering systems, passenger and freight elevators, vessel mooring hardware, bollards, capstans, perimeter safety railing, temporary services support hangers and area lighting.
