About this opportunity
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) plans to award a non-competitive purchase order to InnovaSea Marine Systems Canada Inc., DBA Vemco, for 15 acoustic tags and 5 acoustic receivers. There are no option year periods. The Eastern Ecological Science Center possesses an established network of IMS-Vemco acoustic telemetry receivers that require compatible equipment for continued operation. IMS-Vemco is the only vendor that can provide the required equipment because its technology is proprietary and not based on open standards. As a result, only IMS-Vemco fish tags are compatible with the acoustic receivers already used by USGS and its regional partners, including MATOS.
