Response: The contract calls for an anti-ligature window shade. The Basis of Design (does not indicate a preferred vendor of the VA) includes a fascia that is a security box that holds the window treatment to prevent tampering within the behavioral health unit. All bidders should verify that selection they choose whether it includes fascia or not, is anti-ligature. The preference for the VA would be both.
