The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) intends to negotiate a non competitive award under 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified Acquisition Procedures for EXALT Model D Duodenoscope Image Controllers. The EXALT Model D Image Controller is a proprietary device manufactured exclusively by Boston Scientific and is technically required to operate the Government owned EXALT Model D duodenoscopes currently in use. The controller and scope utilize closed, proprietary hardware interfaces, firmware, illumination controls, and image processing protocols that are not disclosed or licensed for third party production.
