This announcement constitutes a Notice of Intent to Sole Source. The 147th ATW intends to award a purchase order to support the procurement of Snap-On� Tools and Tool boxes. End user functionality is standardized across all shops and mechanics, which provides consistent capabilities to supported units regardless of geographic location. Processes for tool accountability and shortage orders is also standardized, which would not be possible if multiple brands of tools were used. The specified Tools are unique because they meet the Air Force professional standards in quality and serviceability. All hand tools come with warranty and free lifetime replacement if they are ever damaged or worn. Electronic and air tools have a partial replacement or repair policy.
