The 157th Air Refueling Wing has a long-standing requirement to bring the electrical and HVAC systems in its simulator building up to code. To address the extensive mechanical deficiencies in Building 156, an architecture-engineering firm will undertake a comprehensive project beginning with a full retro-commission of the entire mechanical system. This initial phase involves testing every system input and output, calibrating all sensors for accuracy, and updating the operational sequences to comply with current building codes, which may differ from the original design intent. Upon completion, this retro-commission report, containing recommendations for optimization, will be delivered to the Base Civil Engineer.
