Statement of Work 1.1 Background The Research Service at the Central Arkansas Veterans Health Care System (CAVHS) in Little Rock, Arkansas is requesting a new requirement for the purchase of an Epredia HM525 NX UV Cryostat to replace our old HM525. Our existing HM525 cryostat is almost 25 years old and well beyond its end of life date (2011). It does not always function properly, which can impede the progress and outcomes of the research projects. In research labs, cryostats play a key role in the study of tissues, allowing for detailed examination and analysis of various biological components. This cryostat will be used by various VA Merit funded laboratories.
