AFMETCAL at Heath OH intends to solicit and award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) in accordance with Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services and RFO 12.201-1 Simplified Procedures for the purchase of various load cells and indicators for the AFPSL Load Cell Exchange to Tovey Engineering, Inc. (Tovey) (Cage 1TY59). Tovey is the manufacturer of the original calibration system. Operating the calibration system involves proprietary technology and software which the manufacturer is unwilling to release to another company.
