The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by RFO 6.103-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to enter a fixed-price contract with Timken Gears & Services Inc. of Mokena, IL for maintenance of eight Philadelphia Gear, 1800DHV, industrial-output worm gears.
