Military Sealift Command�s Hew Hire Medical Evaluation Support Services Commander, Military Sealift Command (COMSC), in his role as single Department of Defense (DoD) manager for sea transportation, operates a worldwide command and a Government-owned fleet of approximately 116 ships that provides strategic and operational sealift to meet national defense objectives. To properly crew these vessels medically fit Civilian Mariners (CIVMAR) are required, and this starts with the recruitment and screening of Applicants.
