The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to negotiate and award a non-competitive purchase order to, Grove Engineering Inc., 4925 Boonsboro Road, Lynchburg, VA 24503, for MicroShield Annual Software and Maintenance. The anticipated period of performance for the renewal is a one-year base period from June 10, 2026, through June 9, 2027, plus four one-year option periods to extend the term of the contract. MicroShield is a comprehensive photon/gamma ray shielding and dose assessment program that is widely used for designing shields, estimating source strength from radiation measurements, minimizing exposure to people, and teaching shielding principles.
