The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) intends to issue a sole source award to Stumptown Research & Development, LLC (CAGE Code: 824N1) to procure (1) C2SQ Component. The Structural Mechanics Branch (SMB) R&D conducts research operating an 8-ft x 8-ft Blast Load Simulator (BLS-8) that is used to evaluate structural targets subjected to shock waves produced by either compressed or combustible gasses. The BLS is a large-scale interchangeable compressed gas or combustible gas driven device. The device is remotely controlled from the control room in the BLS Facility, and it has multiple modular test sections, a target reaction frame, and additional components as needed to operate/support the device.
