PURPOSE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer (USACE), Philadelphia District (NAP), anticipates a requirement for the beach nourishment of Great Egg Harbor Inlet and Peck Beach, Cape May County, New Jersey DESCRIPTION: The contractor will conduct pre-placement condition surveys and pump/place approximately 911,000 CY of sand from the Great Egg Harbor Inlet borrow area (roughly 5,000 feet offshore) onto the beaches of Ocean City, New Jersey from the Seaview Road groin to approximately 14th Street.? Quantity options of 50,000 CY, 91,000 CY, 182,000 CY, and 250,000 CY will be included to place more sand depending on bid prices received and sand need. Sand must come from the offshore borrow area.
