About this opportunity
The FAA has a requirement for a Removal Action (RA) at Bldg 101 in Yakutat, Alaska to remove petroleum contaminated soils with contaminant concentrations that exceed applicable cleanup criteria. - This work is to excavate and dispose of up to 800 tons of petroleum impacted soil near the Yakutat Airport. - Petroleum impacted soils are predominantly present 4-8 feet below ground surface (bgs) but extend to the surface and down to 10� bgs in some locations. Multiple utilities including telephone and power run along the excavation area margins, fiber optic runs through the norther portion of the excavation area, and multiple additional utilizes are located in the general site vicinity. - Groundwater is present at ~5-6� bgs the site so the contractor must manage soil moisture to prevent pooling...
