This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Health intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with the following vendor: Rush University Medical Center. Acquisition Description: This acquisition requested is for DNA extraction and shotgun metagenomics sequencing of fecal samples from humans (n=25) at baseline and after a ketogenic diet with/with NR supplementation (n=100 samples), and from mice (n=25) at baseline and after a high fat diet with/with NR supplementation (n=100 samples; total 200 samples). The results from these tests will be used to understand cross-species validation of mechanisms related to bile acid- and FXR-induced increases in ketogenesis.
