NSMRL�s audio booth warrants recertification and equipment calibration to maintain industry standards, to ensure compliant, precise results for upcoming audiometry-related efforts. As a result, the laboratory needs to upgrade its audiology booth used to facilitate upcoming studies. NSMRL leverages its onsite audiology equipment to develop, test, and evaluate underwater noise systems that measure high-noise levels in operational environments, monitor the effects of noise exposure on personnel hearing, and investigate the range and limits of underwater hearing, among other efforts.
