Program Description- The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires the Secretary to provide annually at least $4,000,000 to address the postsecondary, vocational, technical, continuing, and adult education needs of individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. [1] Aligned with this requirement, through this competition the Department intends to establish a National Technical Assistance Center for Postsecondary Education and Training for Individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
