About this opportunity
The U.S. Department of Energy (EIA), Energy Information Administration (EIA), intends to issue a sole source award to Oil Price Information Service, LLC (OPIS) for data subscription services and reports. OPIS is the sole commercial provider capable of delivering, at the specificity and coverage required by the EIA, the following data products: (1) PADD 5 Historical Study; (2) Weekly Ongoing Report for All PADDs; and (3) Average Regular Unleaded Price Monthly. OPIS maintains the largest proprietary database of retail and wholesale fuel pricing in the United States. No other commercial provider offers comparable station-level pricing data segmented by PADD region, RFG mandate status, and branded/unbranded classification at the granularity required by the EIA.
