On Monday, September 28, 2026, Governor Polis submitted 91 “on-list” eligible census tracts to the U.S. Treasury for designation as opportunity zones. This is 25% of the 362 census tracts eligible for consideration, based on a late increase by the US Treasury. OZ 2.0 Designation GIS Tool OEDIT anticipates that the Treasury will officially certify the tracts as opportunity zones by the end of November.
