Method"Open" uses our canonical counting rule: deduplicated records from certified sources only, normalized pipeline, status open or rolling, not quarantined, deadline unset (rolling) or in the future. This is the display gate every FundingLandscape surface uses (homepage, /sources, MCP), so this number is never a different count than what a visitor or an AI assistant sees elsewhere on the site.

Methodology
Open = deduplicated records from certified sources, normalized pipeline (v2), status open/coming_soon/rolling, not quarantined, with no deadline (rolling) or a deadline in the future. Identical to the canonical count used across FundingLandscape (DATA_TRUTH.md).
These figures describe the FundingLandscape corpus — sources we monitor and have verified — not the entire universe of US funding. Absence from these numbers means we do not (yet) track it, not that it does not exist.
