About this opportunity
NSF BIO supports research that addresses micro- and macroevolutionary processes and their consequences regardless of spatial or temporal scale. Questions may address evolutionary processes at any level including: 1) the genome and epigenome; 2) the phenotype; 3) evolution and adaptation within species; 4) evolution and coevolution of interactions between and among species (e.g., hybridization, parasitism, etc.); and 5) biogeography. Research may include empirical and theoretical approaches. Topics of study may include the population genetics and quantitative genetics of evolution at any scale; processes that maintain genetic variation; evolution of genetic architecture; life-history evolution; the dynamics of population diversification and speciation; the dynamics of natural selection and ...
