Pursuant to the Privacy Act of 1974 and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular No. A-108, notice is hereby given that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), a component within the United States Department of Justice (DOJ or Department), proposes to modify a system of records notice titled National Crime Information Center (NCIC), JUSTICE/FBI-001, 84 FR 47533 (Sep. 10, 2019). The NCIC serves as a central information repository to assist criminal justice professionals in apprehending fugitives, locating missing persons, recovering stolen property, and identifying known or suspected terrorists.
