Reimbursement is reserved for Tier 1 offenses. Tier 1 offenses are defined as felony offenses of violence that involve substantial risk to public or officer safety and also include the misdemeanor offenses of domestic violence and aggravated menacing. Tier 1 offenses are listed on page 2. OCJS may consider other limited offenses to be related to Tier 1 and possibly eligible for reimbursement. Questions on whether a non-Tier 1 offense is eligible for reimbursement should be directed to OCJS staff
