About this archived opportunity
Commerce’s Energy Resilience and Mitigation Program is accepting proposals to support an energy resilience outreach and education campaign in Eastern Washington and the North Olympic Peninsula. The successful nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status will conduct an outreach and education campaign, providing reliable, data-driven and unbiased information to disproportionately impacted and overburdened communities and tribes. The campaign will help these communities understand energy resilience and make informed energy decisions. The Energy Resilience Scoping Project for Eastern Washington and the North Olympic Peninsula will provide local governments, tribes, electric utilities and policymakers with the data and tools they need to plan for more resilient energy systems. The project will help communities identify and prioritize investments that reduce the impacts of natural disasters, minimize power outages and strengthen critical energy infrastructure. Successful applicants will use targeted and culturally relevant outreach and education practices to provide community members, households and individuals within the defined project areas with reliable, data-driven and unbiased information to support energy resilience before, during and after a disaster.
