About this opportunity
Purpose: To provide bridge funding for CF-relevant R01 (or equivalent) applications that were submitted to NIH (or other governmental agencies) that scored in the 40th percentile but were not awarded by the funding agency. The objective of this award is to support excellent cystic fibrosis-related research projects that have been approved by the National Institutes of Health (or governmental funding agencies in other countries) but cannot be supported by available funds. Current eligibility allows researchers with an Impact Score (or equivalent) between 1–45 to apply for this mechanism. This includes grants with a status of "competitive not discussed" status.
