We invite proposals for one-year research projects, including both laboratory-based investigations and clinical studies, that explore the mechanisms by which the gut microbiome influences the human nervous system. Studies examining microbial metabolites, immune pathways, neural signalling, or other mechanistic processes along the gut–brain axis are encouraged.
