About this opportunity
Huwighurruk is a postbaccalaureate pathway program for American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) students in California who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine. The goal of the program is to recruit, retain, and train prospective medical students focused on serving (AI/AN) tribes and communities in both rural and urban areas. Students will enroll in Cal Poly Humboldt during fall and spring semesters. The program provides students with a culturally focused framework combined with academic coursework, intensive MCAT preparation, and support with the medical school application process.
