Established in 2012, the Ohio Rocks Earth Science Education Program provides grants each year to earth science students at Ohio colleges and universities for research on the geology of Ohio. Additionally, the program funds outreach to Ohio’s K–12 schools in support of Earth science education. Learn more about the Ohio Rocks Earth Science Education Program. Each year the Ohio Geological Survey awards grants to earth science students at Ohio colleges and universities for graduate- and undergraduate-level research on Ohio’s geology. Awards are given based on the quality of the student applications, the strength of their professors’ letters of reference, and the relevancy of their research.
