About this archived opportunity
CRC Implementation Grants are intended to fund new construction and upgrades of neighborhood-scale facilities as Community Resilience Centers, bridging physical and social infrastructure investments to build climate and community resilience. Implementation Grant activities include pre-development, community engagement, construction, services and programs, and evaluation. CRC Planning Grants and Project Development Grants support planning and pre-development activities to prepare for future implementation funding opportunities(see separate Grants Portal entries). CRC Implementation Grants will provide funding for the implementation of Capital Projects, as well as Community Resilience Services and Programs. Eligible implementation activities include: - CRC Facility Construction and Retrofits: Activities related to direct construction, retrofits, and other upgrades to the CRC Facility itself - Campus Amenities: Activities related to construction or improvements to amenities located at the CRC Facility that strengthen the local community’s resilience to climate and other disasters -Community Resilience Services and Programs: Services and programs that operate out of the CRC Facility that build community resilience and encourage year-round use of the CRC Facility Each CRC Grant application must include a Collaborative Stakeholder Structure (CSS) that includes organizations and residents involved in developing and implementing the grant. One Lead Applicant will submit an application on behalf of their CSS, alongside Co-Applicants. The CSS should also include residents and community-nominated members such as CBOs that are not Co-Applicants. To be considered for a CRC Implementation Grant award, interested applicants must complete an Implementation Grant Pre-Proposal no later than 11:59:59 p.m. PST on Friday, August 25, 2023. Team will provide feedback within 2-4 weeks of your submission. Submissions received past Friday, August 4, 2023, may not receive feedback before the full application deadline. Though submission of a Pre-Proposal is required for all Implementation Grant Applicants, the content of the proposal will not affect evaluation of the final application or disqualify Applicants from submitting an application. If you anticipate needing Application Technical Assistance (TA) to apply for the CRC Planning Grant, Project Development Grant, or Implementation Grant please submit the CRC Application TA Request Form by 11:59:59 p.m. PST on Friday, June 23, 2023.
