About this opportunity

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) Closed Landfill Program (CLP) is responsible for the long-term care and maintenance of certain closed mixed municipal waste landfills in the state. Maintaining these sites includes management of landfill liquid waste (leachate and condensate). A study of PFAS in the CLP’s liquid waste stream found that 98% of assessed closed landfills have PFAS contamination. This RFP is intended to provide a mechanism for interested parties to acquire a limited volume of landfill liquid waste from the Washington County, Waste Disposal Engineering (WDE), Olmsted County Oronoco, Rice Lake, Anoka-Ramsey, or Koochiching closed landfills in the CLP for PFAS treatment technology testing purposes.
