The Visual Artistic Excellence Grant provides direct funds to a mid-career/established individual artist who lives and works in Broward County. The selected artist will have a strong history of recent exhibitions, commissions or other professional achievements. This grant is awarded to an artist whose work will have a profound impact not only on the arts, but on culture and discourse more broadly. The funds will support the creation of original work(s) of which one will be accessioned into the Broward County Cultural Division collection. Prior to the termination of the grant period, the artist shall give to the Cultural Division one piece of artwork of the County’s choosing. Artists are only eligible to receive this grant once.
