This program provides grants and technical assistance for projects that restore and conserve near-shore areas in Puget Sound. The goal is to ensure Washington's estuaries, bays, and shorelines are intact, functioning, and resilient to climate change. This grant program is managed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife with RCO administering the grants. Grant Application Schedule – The Estuary and Salmon Restoration Program administers four distinct grant programs: • Beach Restoration Small Grants • Restoration and Protection • Regional Pre-Design (e.g. Learning) • Shore Friendly Each grant program issues its own Request for Proposal with a specific grant application and review process. The ESRP staff team combines the results of each grant program’s evaluation process to create a single prioritized project list, referred to as the ESRP Preliminary Investment Plan.
