The CAL FIRE Urban & Community Forestry Program works to optimize the benefits of trees and related vegetation through multiple objective projects as specific in the California Urban Forestry Act of 1978 (PRC 4799.06-4799.12.1)). This solicitation targets nonprofit child care facilities receiving government funding to support planning and implementation of Green Schoolyards Project. The Grant can include all aspects of planning and implementation of the project. Budget limitations are Between $200,000 and $6,000,000 awarded per application including no more than $1,000,000 per child care facility (CAL FIRE funded). Funds are paid on reimbursement basis. Advance payment options are available to nonprofit organizations serving disadvantaged communities.
