Pursuant to the Song-Brown Health Care Workforce Training Act (SongBrown Act), Health & Safety Code Sections 128200, et. seq., the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) will consider applications to support the training of family nurse practitioner (FNP) fellows and primary care physician assistant (PA) fellows. After review of the applications, HCAI staff makes recommendations for grant awards to the Director of HCAI.

Eligibility: Each FNP and PA fellowship training program approved for funding under the Song-Brown Health Care Workforce Training Act must provide clinical training in primary care and be affiliated with a community-based ambulatory patient care center in an underserved community.
