Purpose: The purpose of this announcement is to solicit applications from law enforcement agencies to equip peace officers with bullet-resistant shields and breaching tools. Eligible s: Applications may be submitted by independent school districts that operate law enforcement agencies employing peace officers under Article 2A.001, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, or that directly enter into a memorandum of understanding with a local law enforcement agency to provide school resource officers under Section 37.081, Texas Government Code.
