The USACE Sacramento District is seeking industry feedback and input related to a future civil works project on Grand Island located in Walnut Grove, California. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued to solicit information regarding the feasibility of loading and unloading material off Grand Island by barge. The information gathered in response to this RFI will be used to inform planning efforts to evaluate the viability of barge transport. The provided RFI attachment outlines the information being requested as well as provides references to data sets and metadata publicly available via CA.gov websites. Referenced datasets were compiled by the USACE Sacramento District to create a surface for the area of interest. Due to file size, to obtain this surface, submit a request to the Contract Specialist, Jessica Padilla, at Jessica.Padilla@usace.army.mil, and the file will be distributed via DoDSAFE.
