About this archived opportunity
The Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Overhaul will reset the foundation of federal buying, by delivering a rewritten and streamlined FAR that is simpler, clearer, and structured for speed. Agencies are beginning to use an authorized version of the streamlined rulebook until the FAR is finalized through the formal rulemaking process. This historic shift marks the start of a new era in federal acquisition. The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development invites you to be part of this transition. To participate in this campaign please use the link in the attached flyer. As agencies move to the authorized version of the streamlined rulebook, the Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP), Office of Management & Budget is hosting a crowdsourcing campaign, now through January 12, 2026, to gather your feedback on the acquisition practices that agencies should start, stop, continue, adjust, or scale in the new era of federal acquisition. All are welcome to participate. OFPP is most interested in ideas that: Reduce cost or burden for the government and businesses Increase competition, such as by making it easier for businesses to submit proposals Significantly improve the speed of the acquisition process, such as by removingunnecessary steps in the procurement process Point to legacy practices that conflict with streamlined buying principles Highlight useful practices used today that support faster buying, increased competition, and better outcomes Your contributions will help shape the practices that will guide federal buying for the next generation. I look forward to your feedback. Thank you for helping us build the new era of federal acquisition.
