The Laundry Facility supports laundry operations for two VA facilities, eight (8) CBOCs, and the Little Rock Air Force Base. All major equipment in the plant, including the 8-pocket tunnel washer, relies on pneumatic systems powered by compressed air. Each compressor is paired with a desiccant dryer to remove moisture from the air. With both dryers down, excess water is entering the air lines, leading to daily manual draining just to keep the rail system operational. The facility contains twenty-five (25) MAC valves (valued at $1,500 each); three (3) have already shown several more are showing signs of imminent failure.
