Background: The C.W VA Medical Center EMS Grounds requests to purchase a Petersen 2025 International MV607, Transmission A2000, Fuel Type Diesel, Brake Type Airbrake grapple truck Name Brand or Equal to help pick up downed trees and limbs after hurricanes and severe weather events. This will help with proficiency and timeliness in clearing roads and parking lots. This truck can also be used when trimming trees. The grapple truck will pick up debris much more efficiently and effectively than by hand. This truck is also needed for regular tasks such as clearing paths in the conservancy. In 2024, EMS Grounds assisted with the cleanup of the Bay Pines Medical Center and Lee County Healthcare campuses after the two major hurricanes in 2024.
