The F-35 "Lightning II" Program Office intends to issue a modification to the F-35 Follow on Modernization Block 4 Planning & Systems Engineering Phase II contract N0001919C0010. This effort completes the technical and programmatic planning, documentation, and design activities leading up to the successful integration of Joint Strike Missile for F-35A Partner and FMS countries. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only on responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
