Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 3 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, intends to place a limited sources order under FAR 8.405 6(b) to acquire Bioventus ultrasonic surgical handpieces from Melling Medical as direct replacements for units used with the Bioventus neXus system. These are the only handpieces that integrate with the neXus platform s proprietary interface and remain compatible with existing consumables. Per the OEM, Melling Medical is the only authorized federal SDVOSB distributor able to provide genuine Bioventus components that meet required interoperability and regulatory standards. As no other source can meet these specialized requirements, this action is justified under FAR 8.4...
