About this opportunity
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to purchase the following Frangibolt Fasteners on a sole source basis to Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense. The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N66604-26-Q-0412. The Government has been using the Frangibolts since 2024 in its infrastructure since it inherited the DARPA Hunter hardware to support the Government. There are no other Frangibolt fasteners in the open market that have the exact fit, form, and function as this product. Using a different model would require designing, the Government would have to find and/or design replacements for the functions of each Frangibolt actuator.
