ENERGY, DEPARTMENT OF.ENERGY, DEPARTMENT OF.NATIONAL ENERGY TECHNOLOGY LABORATORY

About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), is conducting market research to identify contractors capable of providing a 1 Megawatt (MW) box furnace for NETL’s Burner Laboratory for Alternative Fuels and Zero-Carbon Energy (BLAZE) facility to test multi-burner arrangements with advanced fuels. This box furnace will enable the evaluation of burner modifications and flame-to-flame interactions, crucial for industries like metal and glass who seek to enhance fuel-flexibility, increasing technological resilience. Data from this furnace will validate computational models and facilitate cost-effective retrofits. All responses shall include a detailed description of how the proposed equipment meets the specifications described in this Sources Sought notice. ...
