The General Services Administration (GSA) is procuring General Construction Services for the Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH) Sheridan Building Renovation. This project is being conducted as a full and open competition using the tradeoff method to ensure the best value to the government. The Sheridan Building is an occupied, eight-floor, 387,350 SF facility originally constructed in 1962. It is situated on the 272-acre AFRH campus at 3700 N Capitol Street NW, Washington, DC 20011, which is recognized as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places. The renovation is designed to transform the Sheridan Building into a modern residential facility providing 354 spaces for both independent and assisted living.
