Eligible applicants are Community Action Agencies (CAAs) and tribes that were funded directly by the CSBG in FY 2025 (see Appendix A) that own affordable housing units and provide support services to residents of the affordable units. CAAs and tribes funded directly by CSBG, by nature of this funding support, work to provide public welfare, health, and social services to their communities. Applications from individuals (including sole proprietorships) and foreign entities are not eligible and will be disqualified from the merit review and funding under this funding opportunity.
About this opportunity
The Office of Community Services (OCS) intends to fund Community Action Agencies (CAAs) and tribes that received FY25 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) awards and own affordable housing units. The purpose of the AHSSD is to demonstrate the potential for improving housing stability, economic mobility, and well-being by boosting public welfare and support service enrollment for residents of affordable housing who are American citizens. AHSSD does this by improving the coordination of public and private assistance programs to prevent and reduce dependency among this population cohort.
