The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to West Virginia University, Inc. for the purchase of a service agreement for Supporting coal miners by characterizing their perspectives on black lung screening and low-dose computed tomography for lung health monitoring. Understanding the barriers and potential facilitators to participation in the Coal Workers' Health Surveillance Program (CWHSP) is essential for developing effective outreach and support systems to enhance screening uptake and, ultimately, improve health outcomes among coal workers.
